A bold and passionate singer, writer, and entrepreneur, Kim Addison is living her dream with a successful and established career in the arts. She started singing at an early age and was playing in clubs by the time she was 17 years old. She began her career belting out R & B and rock but Kim changed course drastically when she was accepted into the Humber College Jazz Studies program. While there she fell in love with the old standards and soon she was singing in Humber's top jazz ensembles including Pat Labarbara's combo and Trish Colter's vocal jazz ensemble. After graduating with honours, Kim wanted more, so she applied to The University Of Toronto's Jazz program and was one of four vocalists accepted into the small and elite program.
Kim has performed extensively. While still in her teens her first professional gig was in a lounge band called King Herbert and Breezin'. She soon tired of singing Madonna covers and began Kim Addison Baby Blues, an R & B cover band. She was also a member of the popular band Hollywood and played in many jobbing wedding bands. Kim now sings jazz in her combo Kim Addison and the Jazz Junkies. The Jazz Junkies have been featured at the Toronto Jazz Festival, The Distillery Jazz Festival, The Rex, The Montreal Bistro, and many other venues in and around Toronto.

During Humber and U of T Kim taught music lessons at four different private music schools and when she finished her education
she decided that she wanted to open The Addison Music Learning Centre to continue to share her love of music with others.
Addison Music is now the GO TO music school of Oakville and has been voted number one music educator for the past few years.
Addison employs over 23 teachers and at least 1,000 students attend Addison weekly.

popular series "Street Legal", where she starred in the season premier of 1993. And in 1995
she was the host of "Let's Listen", a cable television show that showcased local jazz bands.
